1. “Best seat in the house” Travel Gift for your Mother.
This thoughtful travel accessory will become on of your Mom’s favorite travel gifts. Something I don’t leave home without is my Therma-rest seat cushion. It is extremely lightweight, packs down to almost nothing, self-inflates (just needs a few puffs of breath to finish if off) and has saved my butt and back numerous times!
I used this on the water taxi from Belize City to Ambergris Caye Island. The boat hit the waves so hard, we bounced all over the place. I finally put this behind my back and was able to avoid slamming into the side of the boat.
It’s also a lifesaver on those airlines with non-existent seat padding. Flying from Kauai, we usually find ourselves on 5 hour flights. Even Jack has taken advantage of the comfort provided by my “insta-seat.” Highly recommended and a real bargain for the price.
2. Favorite handbags for the Moms who love to Travel.
I love Baggallini handbags. They are durable, lightweight, fashionable and keep you ever so organized with more pockets and pouches than you’ll ever need. Many now have a RFID protected panel to secure credit cards. Her new Baggallini purse may become your Mom’s favorite travel handbag of all times!
The crossbody bag is my favorite, as it is readily accessible and leaves my hands free. I feel confident no one is able to pickpocket something from my purse or snatch it suddenly. The one I am carrying now is the “Original RFID Everyday Crossbody Bag” in the Midnight Blossom design.
It even comes in an array of colors so there’s sure to be one Mom will love. If Crossbody bags aren’t her thing, Baggallini also makes backpacks, hobos, minis, shoulder bags, totes. You name it, they have it.

3. Best gift for Mom’s who like a peaceful travel environment.
She doesn’t know it yet, but this could be her all time favorite “best travel gift for Mom! A noise cancelling headset simply can’t be beat and you don’t really know how pleasant air travel can be until you experience this!
I was introduced to Bose Headsets by a stranger in the seat next to me on a flight many years ago. I haven’t flown without them, (and neither has Jack) since that time. What’s great about them is that they block out bothersome background noise like that “shhhhhhhhh” sound the plane makes.
We’ve had ours a few years now, and the only thing we’ve replaced is the earpad. After a few years, the leather(ette?) on the earpad begins to degrade and flake off. (Could be because we live on Kauai where everything falls apart.) But, no problem. Just go online and buy replacements for @ $15 and you’re good to go for another few years. It’s a great product and we love ours. They come in several different models and colors – but I can’t resist posting this beautiful rose gold!
Here’s the ear cushion replacements I mentioned above:

4. “No worries” phone tether for Traveling Moms who take pictures.
Does Mom love to take a quick pic with her phone while traveling? Sometimes it can be perilous holding a phone out over water or a ravine. Often it’s just hard to keep track of your phone while enjoying views.
Not any more! I’ve got the best “No worries” travel gift for your Mother right here! This phone lanyard is a game changer. No more death grip on the phone while standing on the bridge capturing the awesome waterfall. If it slips from her hands, no worries. I love this lanyard so much, I even snap my phone onto it when hiking! If your mom is a phone pic junkie (or not) she will surely love this! I have the first one shown but here are several to choose from.
Here are some others to browse through.
5. Best cell phone accessory for your “water loving” Mother.
Sometimes travels can put a cell phone in peril. Sand and water are NOT a cell phone’s best friend. If your Mom loves the great outdoors, this may be the perfect gift for her. This universal pouch will keep her cell phone dry, safe and secure while she enjoys her travels. Click on the image below or click here for more of a selection.
6. A great hat for the outdoor travel Mom.
If your Mom is only going to own one hat, this is the one – made especially for travel. Not only does it roll up nice and neat for travel, but it also has a back flap and drawstring, two essential hat components. (In my opinion!) It is water repellant, provides UPF 50+ UV protection, comes in a multitude of colors and can be hand washed. This hat does it all and is a perfect addition to your Mom’s travel wardrobe. I love mine and no longer come in from hiking with a sunburned neck or end of grasping at my brim on those windy days.
7. Keep Mom’s travel dreams alive with a good Travel book!
So maybe travel isn’t possible right now. There’s nothing like an informative or inspirational travel guide to help Mom start making plans. Here are some of my favs if Kauai is on her radar:
Sedona on her list? If it isn’t maybe it should be!
Inspirational!
And finally, some adventure travel reading! I wouldn’t necessarily take these journeys myself but it certainly is fun reading about them.
Happy Travels Mom!
